"Snacking" the right foods to help against tooth decay.
Always ask yourself "what is in the food I've picked to snack on?" If a large amount of sugar is present, try some other food. Always keep in mind that certain kinds of sweets do more damage to your tooth due to the amount of sugar that is present. Remember that chewy foods like taffy stays in your mouth longer due to the "chewiness," the longer it stays in your mouth, the longer your teeth are exposed to sugar.
Also think about how often you eat. The more often you snack on sugar coated foods, the more material you give bacteria to cause tooth decay.
